Lawn Fawn + New SVG Cuts Kit

Hey folks!

One of my favorite things to do is to make my own colored paper. I love to use ink and a blending tool on a plain white piece of paper. Not only is it to extremely cost effective, but it's a great use for your ink pads. I did an awful lot of that on this card and I love it!

For my fellow digital die cutting peeps, SVG Cuts has a new kit out! It's called Boho Butterflies. It's pretty stinkin amazing. More on that at the end of the post!

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I will have links for you throughout the post.

Making your own colored paper is super duper easy to do. For this card, since I was using an image from the Critters Ever After Stamp Set by Lawn Fawn, I wanted to use Lawn Fawn Inks too. I haven't used Mermaid a whole lot, so I wanted to show that color some love and I love, love, love my Hippo Ink Pad, so I chose that one too.

For each color I used a Ranger Ink Mini Blending Tool and simply covered some Neenah White Cardstock in my chosen colors. You could easily swipe the Ink Pad itself over the paper, but I really like using the Blending Tool, because I think it gives it a softer look.

Before I die cut a circle out of the Mermaid Panel, I lightly sprayed it with a mixture of Ranger Perfect Pearls and water. To die cut the circle I used a Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Circle Die. I stamped the Stars from the Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and Simon Says Stamp White Embossing Powder

The Unicorn was stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, because I knew I wanted to color it in with Copic's. I also used the matching die. Using the same circle die as a guide and my MISTI Stamping Tool  I curved the sentiment and stamped it with Versamark Ink and Simon Says Stamp White Embossing Powder. A Signo White Gel Pen is what I used to go over the stitches from the Circle Die, but I went around the outside as well.

For embellishments, I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to areas of the Unicorn, Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Sequins, and some Stars I made using the Stars from the Stitched Journaling Dies by Lawn Fawn, Versamark Ink and Simon Says Stamp Silver Embossing Powder. The last touch was some DMC Silver Embroidery Floss. That's it! Easy peasy.

I tell ya, Mary at SVG Cuts, sure knows how to design SVG files like nobody's business. For real. Each kit gets is more and more amazing. The latest one is off the hook! If you love 3D digital die cut files like I do, you have to check the Boho Butterflies SVG Kit

That's it for now folks. I hope you enjoy!

Until next time!

  3. This is such a lovely idea! Similarly if you feel like getting creative with your water bottles, you can have your name, a friends name, or a brand labelled on Eco Vessel bottles. You can see some examples here: https://www.ecovessel.com/pages/cobranding
