Hey folks!
For both of my cards today, I used the Altenew DEAREST FRIEND Stamp Set. Ruby is a big fan of Altenew and I wanted to honor her with that today. Plus this stamp set is seriously gorgeous so it was a win-win.
Do be sure to check out the VIDEO folks. The technique I'm sharing today is one that I've shared recently. So I don't talk much about that, but I do talk about my creative journey quite a bit if you're interested that.
I did decide to use other colors today. I have those linked in the thumbnail links below. I haven't colored anything in pink lately so I thought I'd mix it up a bit.
Inkon3 FADEOUT Ink has been a go-to of mine lately. I can't say enough how much love this ink for no line coloring folks.
One of my favorite things about the DEAREST FRIEND Stamp Set is how large it is. It is a 6"x8" set. As always Altenew didn't disappoint with their sentiments. On the card pictured above, I used Altenew PERMANENT Black to stamp the sentiment.
If you haven't already start at the beginning of the hop and show RUBY some love! She's earned it. She's come a long way in the last 4 years. I'm proud of her and I'm proud to call her my friend. You can also find the entire Blog Hop List there as well!
If I'm your first stop, next up is LYDIA FIEDLER. She is one of my favorite cardmakers and people! She's truly talented and a beautiful person. Before me on the hop is DEBBY HUGHES. I am in awe of her endless talent. Debby and I have never met, but if we ever do I may fan girl. Just sayin'.

Wow!! These flowers look like velvet. I just want to touch them, silly as that may sound, considering they are on paper. lol Can't say enough about your colouring & using pencil crayons over copic markers makes such a difference. ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Love the bright, bold colors.
ReplyDeleteLoved your video and your cards are beautiful. Your coloring with the Copics is beautiful. I decided that I didn't need Copics because of all the watercolors, colored pencils and inks that I already own. I'm trying to stick to that even when I see the beautiful Copic coloring that you and many others accomplish! I'm a former Home Economics teacher and I understand about the sewing and all that. If you're creative in one area, you'll probably be creative in other ways, too! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous! Love the beautiful flowers and the spectacular coloring!

ReplyDeleteWOW beautiful colors! Flowers certainly brighten the day, real or on a card!
ReplyDeleteI loved your video! Not so much that you are a STUNNING COLORIST which you obviously are...but the story you shared with us! I got into this crazy cardmaking culture because my daughter invited me one night many, many years ago to one of those home scrapbooking parties! I was hooked & bought everything out there on the market for my scrapbooking which I TOTALLY DIDN'T NEED!! Years later when I had finished my 3 children's scrapbooks and had so much product left over, the card making world had already surfaced. I thought that at least I could use my vast impulse scrapbooking product purchases to make cards. I started with making cards for OWH and when that closed down..send a smile 4 kids. I LOVE making cards for my family & charitable organizations but your video really struck a cord with me that you really don't need to purchase everything you see out there on the market!! I probably don't need to purchase another thing EVER to make happy cards and that's what I'm focusing on! Sorry for the crazy post!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and vibrant.
