Waffle Flower STAMPtember Exclusive HOW WE ROLL - Inlaid Die Cutting with Copic Coloring

Hey folks!

I'm back with a couple of really quick cards. Yesterday I had mentioned that I had the idea to do the Waffle Flower STAMPtember Exclusive HOW WE ROLL Stamp Set in Black, White and Yellow just like I had done for the Simon Says Stamp Whismy Flower Cards. So here they are. I was in the mood for some Copic Coloring and I just love the little die that I got with my Stamp Set.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

All in all these went together really fast. I started by die cutting a Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock Panel with the Waffle Flower STAMPtember Exclusive HOW WE ROLL Die, as well as a Neenah White Cardstock Panel. I need extra Candies in Neenah White Cardstock so I just pulled scraps out of my stash and die cut enough to fit into the Black Card.

To color all of the Candies in (see links below for color choices) I literally set them up assembly line style and colored them in pretty fast. I really didn't take a lot of time for detail. I also added a healthy dose of Clear Wink of Stella to the light areas of each Candy. While I had my Yellow Copic's out, I made my own colored paper by coloring around the edges of 3 Neenah White Cardstock Panels that I had trimmed down 1/8" with my Fiskars Paper Trimmer.

When I was done coloring, I wanted to be able to fit the Candies into each Panel and still be able to manipulate the panels, before I adhered them to the Card Bases so I used some Glad Press'n Seal on the back side of each Panel (sticky side up) and fit each Candy into the negative spaces. You could use a scrap of paper and cover it in adhesive, but I like using the Press'n Seal because it doesn't add extra bulk to the card.

Using the Large Frame from the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes Die Set, I die cut each Panel. Keeping the Sentiment simple, I heat embossed the Black Card with Versamark Ink and Simon Says Stamp White Embossing Powder and the White Card with Versafine Black Onyx Ink and Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.

I left off embellies, because I went to town with the WOS and wanted to keep it clean.

That's it peeps! I don't always have the opportunity to enter challenges, but I just love the inspiration that comes from them! The Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge has given me a lot of that!

Up next, I will have a card featuring the Avery Elle Twisted Treats Stamp Set (finally).

Also Simon Says Stamp has a new release. It is the Create Joy release and it is AH-MAZING! I will take one of everything, thank you for asking...While you're there also be sure to get the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit. It's so stinkin cute, I can't even stand it.

In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed my cards today! Don't forget you can follow me on Instagram  and on Facebook! I would love to see you there.

Until next time!
