Simon Says Stamp Whimsy Flower

Hey folks!

I know in my last post I had mentioned that I was going to share a card using the Avery Elle Twisted Treats Stamp Set. Well, with helping my husband, laundry and the Black Plague (my daughter's homework), I haven't had a chance to finish it. Also, I'm not really sure where I'm going with it just yet. However, the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge theme is Black, Yellow and White and these colors have been rolling around the ol' noodle all day, so I thought I'd do something with that.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

These cards went together really fast. I love quick and I love simple so this was great!

Speaking of love, I'm in love with the Duckling Ink Pad by Simon Says Stamp, and since there isn't matching cardstock available I made my own. I used a Ranger Ink Blending Tool and covered 2 Neenah White Cardstock Panels and went around the edges of a third.

For all three cards I used the Simon Says Stamp Whimsy Flower Die and Neenah White Cardstock in White, one that I had covered in Duckling Ink and Simon Says Stamp Black Card Stock. I also dry embossed all of the Flowers and Leaves with a Sizzix Dots Embossing Folder.

I used the Painted Hello Die and die cut three times in all three colors with my Sizzix Big Shot. I added some Best Creation 3D Foam Squares behind each of the Flower Sets  and Hello Die Cuts to pop them up off of the cards a lil bit. For the Card Panels, I used a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die.

The Sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Love This Stamp Set. The white is stamped in Versamark Ink with Simon Says Stamp White Embossing Powder and both black ones are Versafine Black Onyx Ink and Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.

To finish them off I added some some DMC Silver Embroidery Floss and some bling I've had in my stash for ages. I have no idea where I got it and the packaging is M.I.A. I also die cut some Hearts using the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Shapes Die out of all three colors and added a lil bit of Clear Wink of Stella.

That's it peeps! I actually have another Black, White and Yellow card in mind. I'm thinking the Waffle Flower STAMPtember Exclusive HOW WE ROLL Stamp Set would be awesome in these colors! Don't forget, Simon Says Stamp Copic Sale ends tomorrow!!!

In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed my cards today! Don't forget you can follow me on Instagram  and on Facebook! I would love to see you there.

Until next time!
