Hey folks!
I'm back today to share a couple of really quick cards with you! I feel as though I say that a lot. With all of the crafty goodness out there, it wouldn't be hard to go to town and use every little thing in my craft room, but I'm a Clean and Simple girl at heart, I suppose.
If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.
I started by stamping the Heart from the Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit with Versafine Black Onyx Ink on two panels of Ranger Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.
I took my inspiration from some of the My Mind's Eye My Story Papers that are also in the Kit. I used Ranger-Tim Holtz Distress Inks (see links below for colors) and my Medium Zig Watercolor Brush to color in both Hearts. To add Gold Accents, like in the papers, I used a Gold Wink of Stella.
Using the Painted Hello Die from the kit, I die cut one in Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock and seven more out of Neenah White Cardstock. I covered one in Tsukineko Delicata Golden Glitz Metallic Pigment Ink as well as a strip to go along the edge of the Card below. For the other six, I had cut out, I stacked them up behind the Gold and Black Hello's for dimension.
Using the same Gold Ink and Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink Ink, I stamped Small Hearts from the I See You Stamp Set on both panels. With the Ranger Ink Blending Tool and Ranger-Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, I added some ink to a scrap piece of Ranger Distress Watercolor Cardstock to go along the edge of the Card above.
The Diagonal Stripes down the side of each card are actually the Chevron Stamp from the I See You Stamp Set. I stamped it twice on a piece of Neenah White Cardstock in Simon Says Stamp Black Ink, then cut them down so they looked diagonal.
That's it peeps! Easy Peasy. I have a couple more cards in the works. I'm pretty sure I see a Newton's Nook Card coming soon though...
In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed my cards today! Don't forget you can follow me on Instagram and on Facebook! I would love to see you there.
Until next time!
I love these cards!!!
