Simon Says Stamp - Simon's BFF with Copic Coloring

Hey folks!

I'm a sucker for a cute animal stamp. I just can't turn them down and I absolutely love to color them! So I'm back today to share with you a couple of cards I made showing off the new guy in town. I have links at the end of the post if you would like to see some previous works.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Ok, so who's seen Simon's (Simon Says Stamp) new best friend, Dexter? The Dexter and Simon Stamp Set are a part of the STAMPtember release. He is soo cute! When I got this set I said to my girls, "He's so cute, I could just eat his face!" My oldest daughter said, "Uuuhh Mom, he's a pig, that's rude." Well, I didn't mean for breakfast! Sheesh.

Anyway, this Set is darling and totally worth the addition to anyone's stash.

I've run super duper short on time for everything lately, so I kept both cards really simple, and while I could think of several things to do with this Set, all of the images are so cute, clean and simple works just as well.

For both Cards, I stamped my images on Neenah White Cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them both in with Copic's (see thumbnail links below). I stamped the Hearts (also in the Set) in Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red Ink to match the Lipstick Red Cardstock I had picked out for the Card Bases. On the card above, I masked off the Sentiment using Post-It Tape so I could make it longer to go underneath Simon. I used the Simon Says Stamp Curved Edge Die on the Card Panel and some Simon Says Stamp Slate Cardstock. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the Slate Cardstock and Hearts.

I also used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp (my fave!) on both Card Bases with Lipstick Red Ink. For the card above, after I added some Clear Wink of Stella on the Hearts, I went over them with Ranger Glossy Accents. I cut another strip of Simon Says Stamp Slate Cardstock and covered that in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.

That's it! Quick and easy. I haven't decided what will be up next, I have several cards in the works. Lawn Fawn Booyah maybe? The new Winnie and Walter / Simon Says Stamp Big Bloom Stamp Set? Oh and Simon Says Stamp has collaborated with Newton's Nook! WOOT!! It's called Hello Fall and I can't wait to get my inky lil paws on that.

In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed my cards today! Don't forget you can follow me on Instagram  and on Facebook!

Until next time!
