Hey folks!
It's that time of the year where everyone is either feeling the itch to start Fall Crafting or starting to think about it. I would say, I'm past just thinking about it (obviously), but I definitely haven't reached "O.M.G. Pumpkin Spice Everything!" yet.
If you're interested in any of the products I've used I will have links (some affiliate links) throughout the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.
My seasonal orders are starting to come in and one of those was some Clearly Besotted love! I really wanted the Autumn Flowers Stamp Set, because aside from the fact it is AWESOME, I think it would make a great set for other seasons as well.
I've been looking forward to using the Altenew Summer Afternoon Crisp Dye Ink Pad Pack and I thought this stamp set would be perfect for it.
I put a scrap piece of Simon Says Stamp Ivory Cardstock in my MISTI Stamping Tool and starting apply color to the stamp. I started with the darkest (Paper Bag) on the inside of the Leaf and worked my way out to the lightest color (Buttercream). Before I would add the next color I used a Baby Wipe to soften the edges of the color I just applied. After I was done stamping, I fussy cut the image and added a wee bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the veins.
For the Gold Strip and Die Cut, I heat embossed a scrap piece of Neenah White Cardstock with Versamark Ink and Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder and die cut the Hello Die from the Simon Says Stamp Painted Words Die Set and cut the thin strip as well.
The circle is Simon Says Stamp Ivory Cardstock die cut with a Stitched Circle Die also by Simon Says Stamp.
I used a Sizzix Texture Fades Embossing Folders Tim Holtz in Woodgrain on another piece of Simon Says Stamp Ivory Cardstock to give the card some texture. That and it's probably my most favorite embossing folder EVER!
To finish it off I added a couple Hero Arts Gemstones and some Craft Medley Sequins and called it a day.
That's it peeps. I do have a card featuring a stamp from Newton's Nook Newton's Perfect Pumpkin coming soon. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy my card today!
Until next time!
