In today's video I'm sharing some quick Copic coloring and the Technique Tuesday June 2018 Greenhouse Society Strawberry Stamp Set. This oh so darling stamp set is perfect for a quick card or you could stamp it several times to make a full background on you card panel! To pull it all together, I did some die cut masking and ink blending. super quick and super easy!
You can watch the video on how I made my cards HERE. You can also click on the thumbnail link below.
If you love coloring florals, then I suggest that you check out Technique Tuesday's GREENHOUSE SOCIETY collection folks. On the first of each month they release a new set of flower stamps and matching craft dies. Each stamp set includes a classic flower or nature-themed image along with thoughtful card sentiment stamps. The set of craft dies provide mat die cut pieces for the flower or nature-themed stamped images. You can go HERE for more details if you are interested.
Technique Tuesday recently reached out to me and ask if I would be interested in doing a couple of videos with their stamps. I'm a glutton for anything floral so I of course said...SHYEAH! I love, love, love how sweet and simple the STRAWBERRY Stamp Set is. I knew immediately that I would make my card quick and easy. I wanted to let this stamp set shine on it's own.
In the VIDEO I mention that I don't do any special coloring. You totally could, but I felt the strawberries in particular just need a lovely shade of red and they would be good to go. They just pop all by themselves.
Also, if you're interested in the colors I used today, I have them linked down below as well as over on my channel.
I wanted to add some color to the background, but I didn't want to take the time to fussy cut a mask for my image, so I used the coordinating STRAWBERRY Die and die cut some Simon Says Stamp MASKING PAPER with it.
I lined up the negated portion of the die cut around the stamped image, then applied the positive portion of the mask inside of that. I show you how I do this in the VIDEO.
I ink blended Simon Says Stamp MINT CANDY and SCUBA Inks on the the panel making sure to blend to a white to the right of the panel so it would balance with the left side of the card.
The bonus to moving is you can find things you forgot you had and I came across my Kaisercraft GLITTER Pens so I used and orange one on the stamen of the flowers and a BLACK Gelly Roll Glaze Pens on the seeds of the strawberries.
That's it!
