One Layer Cards with Altenew

Hey folks!

I'm back to share some quick and easy one layer-ish cards with you all! These cards are so simple folks, I made five in no time.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Altenew is one of my favorite companies. They have some of the BEST flower stamps on the market. I gotta be honest, as much as I love the idea behind layering stamp sets, I can never seem to use them as a layering set and be happy. No worries though.

For my cards today, I used the Bold Blossom Stamp Set and Vintage Tea Cup Stamp Set by Altenew. The Bold Blossom Set is a layering set. Since I can't seem to get the results I want with the intended purposes of the stamp set, I always use the outline and maybe stamp one of the middle layers and call it a day.

Using the MISTI Stamping Tool, I stamped all of my image on a Neenah White Card Stock Panel with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. To mask off the images, I made masks using Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper.

My coloring of choice for these bad boys were Copic's (you can see my color choices below). Watercoloring with something like Zig Clean Color Real Brush or Kuretaki Gansai Tambi would be fab as well folks. Or....these stamped on Kraft Cardstock (Neenah Desert Storm is good!) and colored with colored pencils would also be a great choice.

It's hard to see in the pic, but I used Versamark Ink and stamped the steam above the cups. Then went over the lines of the steam and the highlights on the flowers with Clear Wink of Stella.

For the squiggly lines behind the flowers and cups, I used one of the dies from the new Valentine Border Lawn Cuts by Lawn Fawn. Nothing tricky there peeps, I simply placed the die where I wanted it on the panel and traced along the edge with a Copic Multiliner.

I decided that there was enough going on so I skipped the embellies, but maybe a few Crystal Clear Sequins by Pretty Pink Posh or Moonbeams Sequins from Kennedy Grace Creations would be groovy.

That's it! Easy peasy.

Thanks so much for stopping in to see me today and as always I really hope you enjoyed my cards!

Until next time!

  1. Love these creations and so very clever how you have done them. Always have to look twice to see if this is really one layer. So beautiful
