Simon Says Stamp - Stamping With Die Cuts + Masking + Stacked Die Cuts

Hey folks!

I gotta be honest, I had absolutely no plan when I made the cards I'm sharing with you today. I started with one idea and when that was done, I moved on to something else. It. Was. Wonderful. It has been soo long since I've had a chance to play like that! So...

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

So, I started by Die Cutting some Fun Foam with the Simon Says Stamp Mini Flowers and Leaves Die Set. They're soo cute and itty bitty, I just love them! Anyway, I added some Tombow Mono Removable Adhesive to my Acrylic Block and arranged my Foam Flowers and Leaves on it.

On my Neenah White Cardstock Panel, I masked off a diagonal across the panel with some Post-It Tape. Then, I used Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink and stamped down the center and heat set it with my Hero Arts Heat Gun.

At this point, I decided to mask of sections and do some Ink Blending with a Ranger Ink Mini Blending Tool and a RAINBOW of Simon Says Stamp Inks (see thumbnail links below).

I didn't pay too close attention to the width of each stripe, I was mostly concerned with keeping them strait.

When I was done, I wanted to narrow some of the wider Ink Blended Stripes, so I masked those off, then took a Versamark Ink Pad directly to the paper then heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Gold Embossing Powder.

At this point, I decided to use the Simon Says Stamp Big Hugs Die and Die Cut the center of the Panel. This is a really great way to get two cards out of one Panel. I also, Die Cut a piece of Simon Says Stamp Slate Cardstock and about eight more out of Neenah White Cardstock.

I stacked all of the Big Hugs Die Cuts together for both Cards, but before I placed them back into the negative spaces on both Panels, I loaded some Fun Foam with iCraft Adhesive Tape and placed each Panel on top. This way the adhesive holds the panel, but also it will help hold the Die Cuts into place as well.

Both of my Card Bases are Simon Says Stamp Slate Grey Cardstock and I finished both cards with some Clear Wink of Stella and a few Doodlebug Design Lily White Sprinkles.

That's it!

I hope you enjoyed my cards today! ALSO, be sure to stop by the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog, I have this Card to share! I used a Stamp Set by Memory Box. It's called Thoughtful Bunny. Seriously folks? How cute can this get?

Until next time!
