Hey folks!
I'm back today to share a set of card with you! These were a little different for me. I actually started by testing out some new (to me) inks and the cards grew from there! I really do have a way of doing things backwards...
If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.
Ok so, here's the deal peeps. These cards were really easy to make. There are several steps in them, but they are sooo simple to do.
I started by using a Ranger Ink Mini Blending Tool to blend My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink in Tropical Teal, Razzle Berry, Coral Crush and Blueberry on for Neenah White Cardstock Panels. Oh man, these colors....I just love them.
Then I Die Cut two circles from the My Favorite Things Die-namics Wonky Stitched Circle Die Set and four rectangles from the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die Set and Die Cut more Neenah White Cardstock.
Using the Hero Art - Lia Griffith Love Bug Stamp Set, I stamped the Image on the Die Cuts with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. There are lots of lil bugs in this set, but I just can't get over the Butterfly and Bee!
I also stamped the Sentiment in the Set with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.
I colored each Die Cut Panel with Copic's (you can see the thumbnail links below for color choices).
I used the next size larger for each Die Set and cut some My Favorite Things Translucent Vellum Cardstock. I thought I would just add these to my Ink Blended Panels, but decided to dome some Partial Die Cutting Instead.
Jennifer McGuire does an amazing job showing how to do Partial Die Cutting in This Video, so I won't go in to details on how I did it here. I love this technique because it's ridiculous easy, but it looks snazzy so that's what I did to the Ink Blended Panels.
I couldn't get it to show in the pics to save my life, but I used three panels of Neenah White Cardstock and stamped them with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink and the Simon Says Stamp Leaves Background Stamp and let it dry. Then I cut each Panel in half so I would have one for each of the six Cards. Take my word for it peeps, in person, it's groovy.
For the Cards with the Bees on them, instead of trying to blend out ink, I just did the Partial Die Cutting on some My Favorite Things Black Licorice Cardstock.
I didn't add any embellies, but I did add some strips of My Favorite Things Gold Shine Cardstock, Ranger Silver Foil and a whole lotta Clear Wink of Stella to the Butterflies and Bees.
That's it! Easy peasy. Don't forget there's still time to participate in The Daily marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed my cards today!
Until next time!
