Hey folks!
I'm back today to share sort of a follow up to a card I made back in June. The thing is, I had mentioned that when I made that card I had a plan on what I wanted to do, but I changed my mind. Well, I was going to do it again, only this time I would do what I had in mind to begin with. Didn't happen. It's all good. Moving on.
If you're interested in any of the products I've used I will have thumbnail links for you at the end of the post!
I used the same Background and Borders 2 Stamp by Wplus9 on this card as I did the last as well as Ranger Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I heat embossed the image in Ranger Clear Embossing Powder and Versamark Ink. This time however, I decided to stagger the stamping instead of filling the entire card panel. This is a really great set that should be in anyones stash!
On my last card, I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to fill in the diamond pattern, but this time I chose another route. I felt as though my Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress Inks have been neglected lately so I went to my three favorites colors and watercolored Picked Raspberry, Spice Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade.
I really wanted to go out on a limb on this one and try something even more different than the last. I decided to use my Simon Says Stamp Flowers On My Mind Stamp Set and instead stamp them in Simon Says Stamp Slate Ink. I used the matching Dies to cut them out of Neenah White Cardstock. For the sentiment, I stamped one from the set with Versamark Ink on a strip of Silhouette Vellum Paper and heat embossed it with Ranger White Embossing Powder. I cut teeny weeny pieces of Scotch Mounting Tape to put behind the letters so they couldn't be seen.
I popped the entire panel onto a piece of Fun Foam and mounted it on a Simon Says Stamp Cardstock card base in Slate.
That's it! What do ya think? Let me know by leaving me a comment below!
Until next time!
Just stumbled on your blog via Instagram. I love the colors and how you staggered the "links" in the "fence" for lack of better description. Keep up the great work!
