Lawn Fawn Critters in The Arctic-Watercolor Birthday

Hey folks!

I've been making a big deal out of Lawn Fawn Critters lately, and this guy is part of the reason why. I mean, hello? Cutest moose EVER! Day. Made.

Before we get to that though, I wanted to let you all know SVG Cuts launched a new kit last night! It's called the Country Market SVG Kit. I haven't made a 3D paper project since March, but I'm seriously thinking, I'll have to make that Country store! Go check it out!

Now for the Moose...I thought he would be so appropriate for my Dad's birthday since my Dad lives in Alaska. Plus who doesn't want to color a really cute moose?

Even though there were multiple steps on almost everything on this card, this was actually really easy and went quickly. The MISTI Stamping Tool, was a huge help.

If you're interested in any of these products, I will have thumbnail links for you at the end of the post!

My friend here is from Critters In the Arctic by Lawn Fawn. Including the Moose, this is a fabulous set and totally worth having in your stash. For real.

I used small piece of Scotch Post-It Tape to mask off the section of his head between his ears and using my MISTI, stamped him in Lawn Fawn Black Licorice on Ranger-Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock. Since I knew I was going to be using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, I went over him again in Versamark Ink and Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. You could skip this, but I like it!

In case you don't know, not only is the MISTI a life saver when it comes to having to stamp an image a couple of times (like the steps I took above), but the other thing I love about it is, it makes life soo much easier to stamp additional images to an already stamped image. That lil Party Hat there? That's from Hats Off To You which is also by Lawn Fawn. By the way, this set is another great one for your Arsenal o' Fun. There's lots of different hats and a couple of sentiments in the set. The best part? They work with almost all of the Lawn Fawn Critters! Woot! So, with my card panel in my MISTI Tool, I simply lined up the Hat where I wanted it on his head, closed the lid and voila! Perfect! I repeated the same ink process for the Hat as I did the Moose. Easy Peasy.

I chose to do something different with the Balloons. I used the Balloon from the Simon Says Stamp Big Birthday Wishes Set, but instead of watercoloring those, I repeated the same process as the Moose and Hat, but I used Deep Sea and Freshly Cut Grass from Lawn Fawn. I really dig that these 2 inks matched the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in my set!

I'm not going to get into too much detail about the Clean Colors Pens since I've shared my thoughts on those a couple of time already. You can see that here and here if you're interested.

That's it for today folks! I'd like to say my "spending freeze" is going well, but it's not. Oh, I haven't bought anything, but boy howdy do I want to! Lots of new launches this week and next and I'd love to be a part of it! But no....Isn't there some kind of Crafter's Hotline I could call? There should be! I have linked to all of my favorite launches below!

Until next time!
