Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After & Copic Coloring

Hey folks!

Have you ever come across a stamp set that makes you so happy that you have a physical reaction to it? It just makes you want to do a happy dance, jump and down or clap your hands like a demented seal? This is that stamp set for me. I have so many stamps that I LOVE and it's no secret that I am over the moon for Lawn Fawn Critters, but this is hands down my favorite!

When I got the Critters Ever After Set a couple of months ago, I stamped a whole bunch of the Critters and have been coloring them in at night when I watch T.V. with my husband. While I don't think one ever needs a reason to make a card, I rarely get to without one, so I've been coloring in my lil Critters just waiting to make a cards out of them!

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I will have thumbnail links for you at the end of the post.

I was really going for bold and bright colors on these. When I think of fantasy colors, I think in purples, yellows, oranges and reds. Blacks and grays too, but since these are for two 7 year old boys, I wanted to keep blacks to a minimum and the grays a lil bit lighter.

I stamped all of the images with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink on Neenah White Cardstock and colored them all in with Copic Markers and fussy cut them out. The Party Hats on the Dragons and Frogs are from Hats Off To You also by Lawn Fawn. The Hello Die Cut is the Scripty Hello by Lawn Fawn and I die cut that four times and layered them together so it would pop up off the front of the card. I also colored this with Copic's.

Whenever I color a die cut like that, I always color all of the edges too. I just like how much more finished it looks. The Purple Frame is from the Small Stitched Rectangle Die Set by Lawn Fawn. I couldn't find a solid purple card stock in my stash, that I liked, so I decided to color this with Copic's as well.

This set has a few really groovy tiny stamps in it, so I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Yellow Cardstock panel with some of the Stars in Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Yellow Ink.

The Green Grass is Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf Cardstock that I die cut with the Stitched Hillside Borders Set by Lawn Fawn.

For this card I (obviously) changed up the colors a bit. Instead of Simon Says Stamp Fog Cardstock for the Card Base (above), I used Schoolhouse Red. The Gray Panel on this one is Simon Says Cardstock in Smoke. I also decided to make this one into a shaker card. I threw in a mix of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear SequinsMartha Stewart Iridescent Stars, and Craft Medley Clear Sequins.

Well, that's it for now! Oodles of Lawn Fawn and lots of Simon Says Stamp on this one peeps. Also, I must say I really really love that Simon Says Stamp has cardstock to match virtually all of their ink colors. Woot! Happy Dance!

Until next time!
