Love Me Some Kits!

Hey folks!

Today I'm sharing a card I made using the April 2015 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp and another quick card I put together using my "Shine Bright" Kit from Noel Mignon. The Noel Mignon "Shine Bright" Kit is sold out, but as I write this, she does have the "Hello Darling" Kit available and it's really fabulous!  The nice thing about kits are they sure take a lot of guess work out of the equation. Well, unless your like me and you find yourself just standing the staring at all of the crafty goodness, while you try to decide what you want to use first...

For the Simon Says Stamp card, I used Neenah White Cardstock, that came with the kit, for the base and front panel as well as a piece of the Simon Says Stamp Mint Cardstock for the back panel. I stamped the Make A Wish sentiment from the kit with Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder. The Candles are also from the same stamp set. I stamped those with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Cracked Pistachio, Hero Arts Neon Orange and Neon Pink. You can't see in the picture, but I used Versamark Ink and Ranger Clear Embossing Powder over the top of the candles to give them just a lil bit of texture. The Kraft/Gold paper is Kraft Decorative Cardstock with gold Foil Shapes by Bazzill and also from the Simon Says Stamp kit. I wrapped some Aunt Lydia's gold Crochet Thread around the bottom and glued some stars I cut out using the star die from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card die set from a piece of DCWV Foil Cardstock. I mounted the stamped panel with a piece of Fun Foam.
This one was even easier to make! I used a cut out from a My Mind's Eye On Trend - Awesome Cardstock Sheet from the Noel Mignon "Shine Bright" Kit. The Mint/Gold Polka Dot panel is also from My Mind's Eye On Trend Collection and is in the same kit. I mounted it on Fun Foam. Again, I cut a strip of DCWV Gold Foil and mounted it behind the Mint/Gold Cardstock. Since I had the Aunt Lydia's gold Crochet Thread out for the last card I did, I decided to use some behind the "You're A Gem" panel. You can't see in the picture, but I used my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush on the gems. Finally, I added some brads from the "Shine Bright" Kit and they are also from the My Mind's Eye On Trend collection. Easy Peasy.

So that's all for now folks. My craft table is a disaster right now. Four feet by eight feet of crafting disaster! It gives me warm fuzzies... I hope to get some of it under control and get it posted by Friday!

Until next time!
