Shading With Color Pencil Over Copic Markers - Penny Black Radiant

Hey folks!

In today's VIDEO I'm sharing a card featuring the Penny Black Radiant Stamp Set. I will be taking about the benefits of shading with colored pencils over markers, specifically when you really want to make those images pop!

I also have a full length real time video available on PATREON folks!

You can watch the video on how I made my cards HEREYou can also click the thumbnail link below.

One of the things I loved about the Penny Black RADIANT Stamp Set is that it's one full stamp. I'm a sucker for masking, but it's fab when I don't have to. It is a large stamp so I did use my MISTI Stamping Tool and stamped it on X-Press It BLENDING Card with Inkon3 FADEOUT Ink.

I used B37, B34 and B32 to color in the flowers and I knew that although this is a fairly bright color combination, I was going to need to bring in those colored pencils to add that extra layer of definition and really make these flowers stand out.

You can totally color with just Copic's folks, but your pencils are excellent tools if you want to take your coloring up a notch.

To get the faux frame, I used my T-RULER and the same Dark grey STEADTLER Pen that I used to color in the centers of the flowers. I talk more about that in the VIDEO so do be sure and check that out.

Although I did a a ton o' Nuvo AQUA Shimmer to the highlights of the flowers, I wanted to add a little bit more detail to the finished look of the card. So I cut a super quick mask of the flowers ad masked off both sides of the panel with Post-It Labeling tape and splattered some Tim Holtz Distress Paint in BLACK SOOT on the panel with a paint brush.

That's it!
