Clearly Besotted and Distress Ink Watercolor

Hey folks!

I'm back today to share another Fall themed card with you guys! After I made this card, I was all geared up to do some Fall decorating and baking. Then I had a conversation with some of my crafty friends on Facebook and now all I can think about is bacon. Thanks ladies, for Enabling me to eat more bacon.

Anyway, not too long ago, I shared a card I had made using this same stamp set, but I've had it on my mind to use this set again, this time with watercolor.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I will have links (some affiliate links) throughout the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

The Stamp Set on this card is Autumn Flowers by Clearly Besotted and I love how the leaves stamp in ink, but I was super duper anxious to see them come to life with a Gold Embossing Powder. Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder is the perfect gold and Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress Inks are usually my go to inks when I want to watercolor and especially if I want deep, rich colors.

I stamped the images on Ranger Distress Watercolor Cardstock in Versamark Ink and heat embossed them in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder. Then I did a quick wash with Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey. After I heat set the watercoloring with my Hero Arts Heat Gun, I mixed up some water and Ranger Perfect Pearls in Perfect Pearl in a Ranger Mister Bottle and used the tube from the bottle to splatter my water mixture on to the Panel. I let that sit for a minute then laid a dried out baby wipe over it to pick up the water and lift some of the color.

Using my MISTI Stamping Tool, I stamped the Sentiment on a piece of Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red Cardstock with Momento Espresso Truffle Ink. Still using my MISTI, I went over it again with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder. I mounted that on to a piece of Simon Says Stamp Dark Chocolate Cardstock.

To make a strip that would match the Gold Embossing on the Panel, I used a scrap piece of Ranger Distress Watercolor Cardstock, covered it in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder. I also wanted to tie in some more Dark Chocolate, so I used the long edge of the outside frame of a previous die cut I had made using the largest Stitched Rectangle Die by Simon Says Stamp. Sheesh. I feel like my explanation of that was clear as mud, but moving on!

The Card Base is also Schoolhouse Red Cardstock and I added a little DMC Gold Embroidery Thread and a couple Craft Medley Sequins and called it good.

That's it for now Peeps. Below I've linked to a few other Fall themed cards, you may be interested in. Also, I have a card coming up where I'm using the new Dexter and Simon Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp. Have you seen this? Sooo cute. In the meantime I hope you've enjoyed my card today!

Until next time!
