Mama Elephant - Carried Away

Hey folks!

I thought I stop in today and share some cards that I have made. Graduation is just around the corner and I thought these would be great to give to some Soon-To-Be Grads I know!

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

I adore Mama Elephant folks. I really do. So I had to use the Mama Elephant Carried Away Stamp Set. I can't stand the cuteness.

The first thing I did was die cut a few pieces of Neenah White Cardstock with the new Simon Says Stamp Birthday Wishes Frame Die. I carefully trimmed out the words Birthday Wishes, just leaving the frame.

To decide where I would stamp my images from the Mama Elephant Carried Away Stamp Set, I placed my die cut frames on a Neenah White Cardstock panel and lightly traced the inside of the frame with a pencil.

Then, I put the panel in my MISTI Stamping Tool and placed the stamps where I wanted them inside the lines. I didn't worry too much about the kiddo's sticking out passed the frame, but I made sure to mask off the corner of the balloon with a piece of Post-It Tape. I made some masks for the images with the Post-It Tape as well.

Since I was going to color these cutie patutie's with Copic's (see colors below), I used Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink.

Using an Ranger Ink Mini Blending Tool, I added Simon Says Stamp Inks in Audrey Blue, Surf Blue and Sea Glass on one of the frames as well as a full panel. After blending the ink onto the full panel, I die cut it with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die.

I attached the fames on each of the panels with Scotch Mounting Tape. You could also use the same Birthday Wishes Frame Die and die cut some Fun Foam.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp and Simon Says Stamp Slate Ink on the Neenah White Cardstock card bases. Before attaching all of the pieces to the front I stamped the sentiments on the frames with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

To finish off the cards, I added Clear Wink of Stella to the Images and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew and and Gloss White from So Suzy Stamps.

That's it! Easy peasy. As always, thanks so much for stopping in to see me today. I hope you enjoyed my cards!

Until next time!
