Hey folks!
I'm here today for the Catherine Pooler Designs All That Jazz Blog Hop! In today's video I'm sharing a one layer card where I do some die cut masking, ink blending and Copic coloring.
I will also have details below for a Giveaway so stay tuned!
This release is fab folks. Of course I'm always excited to get my hands on any stamp set I can color in. There is the SQAURE DANCE Stencil, two backgrounds stamps, the 6"x8" GRATEFUL HEART Stamp Set that I used today. Which also come with coordinating dies! Pattern Paper. Aaaaaand the ALL THAT JAZZ Ink! All That Jazz was in a STAMP OF APPROVAL Collection awhile back and I'm stoled that it's available in the store now!
You can watch the video on how I made my cards HERE. You can also click on the thumbnail link below.
I started by die cutting a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of Simon Says Stamp MASKING PAPER with a scallop oval from the OVALS & FLOWERS Die Set. I centered it as best as I could. Then I placed that over the top of a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of Neenah SOLAR WHITE Cardstock and traced the center of the oval with a pencil.
Next I stamped my images with My Favorite Things BLACK LICORICE Hybrid Ink and my MISTI Stamp Tool.

With 3M FULL STICK Post It Notes, I cut 2 masks of just the portions of the flowers that wouldn't get covered with the full panel mask. You can check out the VIDEO to see how I did this.
After I had all of my masks in place, I used a Range MINI Blending Tool and ink blended Catherine Pooler Design MINT TO BE and ALL THAT JAZZ Ink on to the card panel.
I pulled off my masks, then colored in my images. I share how I do this in the VIDEO and you can see my color choices in the thumbnail links below.
I keep my coloring super simple this time folks. These images are small enough, you could certainly put detail into it, but I didn't think it was necessary.
Once I had my images colored and I added a drop shadow added, I did decide to trace the the faux frame with a Copic MULTILINER. You could skip this and just let your drop shadow add the definition for you, but I really wanted to reinforce it, plus it help tie all the black outlines in together.
I stamped a sentiment from the Catherine Pooler LOVE GROWS Stamp Set in Catherine Pooler MIDNIGHT Ink, added some dots with a Sakura BLACK Gelly Roll pen, and loads of Nuvo Aqua Shimmer CLEAR Glitter Gloss.
I totally should have called it a day, but I also added some ICE CUBE Jewels from Little Things From Lucy's Cards.
For my second card, I colored in more flowers from the GRATEFUL HEART Stamp Set, but this time I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I have videos linked below if you want to see how I color in white images.
I took a piece of Catherine Pooler WHITE Cardstock and dry embossed it with the SQAURE DANCE Stencil using my Spellbinders PLATINUM Die Cutting Machine and the EMBOSSING MAT. Then I ink blended the panel with ALL THAT JAZZ Ink and trimmed off about 2".
I heat embossed a strip of cardstock with Wow WANDERLUST Embossing Powder for a little bit of bling, and trimmed down a strip of striped paper from the BLACK TIE GALA Patterned Paper and layered those two under my dry embossed panel.
I layered everything including the flowers and leaves with 3M FOAM Tape and added it all to a Catherine Pooler White Cardstock NOTE CARD.
I finished my card off with some EGGSHELL PEARLS by Little Things From Lucy's Cards.
