One Stamp, Two Cards - Wplus9 Guest Design

Hey folks!

In today's video, I'm guest designing over on the WPlus9 Blog! The last time I was there, I showed you all how to do some complex masking with several stamps sets. This time, I thought I would keep things really simple and use one stamp set, but show you two different, but simple ways to use them.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click HERE to read my full disclosure policy.

You can watch the video on how I made my cards HERE. You can also click on the thumbnail link below.

I die cut out one panel with the rounded rectangle die from the SUNSHINE LAYERS Die Set. I LOVE this die set. It’s a must have for your stash folks! I kept the other panel at a full 4.25”x5.5”. I stamped the sweet girl from the MISS YOU LOTS Stamp Set with Simon Says Stamp INTENSE BLACK Ink, Then, I Copic colored both girls on each panel. I have those colors listed in the links below.

Using the Sunshine Layers Die Set again, I die cut some of the clouds from Simon Says Stamp MASKING PAPER and added those to one of the panels before I started ink blending.

For the sky on one card, I used BO PEEP, FALLING FOR BLUE and NAUTICAL NAVY. I used just the Bo Peep Ink on the other card to give the idea that there is a sky behind my girl. You can see exactly how I did this in the VIDEO.

MOJITO, BEANSTALK and APPLETINI are what I used for grass on one card. I used a die from the LANDSCAPE BORDERS Die Set. I also quickly Copic colored grass on my other card so it didn’t look like my girl was just floating on the card.

I kept one card clean & simple. I added a sentiment from the MISS YOU LOTS Stamp Set and attached it to a 4.25”x5.5” top folding card base. To match the shape of the other card, I ran a top folding notecard through my die cutting machine with the scallop rectangle die from the SUNSHINE LAYERS Die Set. I simply moved the cut lines of the die so they extended past the fold of the card base so the card base would stay in tact. You can see exactly how I did this in the VIDEO.

That’s it!

I hope you enjoyed my cards today! As always it’s such a great pleasure to design for Wplus9. Dawn and Crew are the best! DISCOVER more projects on my Youtube Channel. 1. Your coloring just blows me away. It’s goes from seeming so dark to so much depth in the image. Love both cards.
