In today's video I'm going to show you how to make a Spinner Card! I'm going to be using the new Catherine Pooler LOVE IS IN THE AIR Stamp of Approval. Plus I have a bonus card to share! Today's post is a part of a Blog Hop, so be sure to hop along and show some love! There is also a blog hop prize up for grabs, but I will talk more about that here in a minute.
Haven't heard of Stamp Of Approval? Well...it's an exclusive collection released every quarter by Catherine Pooler Designs. The products are designed FOR the box, they are brand new, and they won't be available again for many months.
These collections typically sell out crazy fast, so get yourself on the waitlist so you can get first notice of the sales link!
When I first saw the LOVE IS IN THE AIR Stamp Set, I knew I was going to either show some rainbow love and stamp some rainbow hot air balloons or I was going to make a spinner card. With the LOVE IS IN THE AIR Add On Dies, it was no contest!
This collection is loaded with lots of scene building opportunities! I used the cloud dies that can also be found in the LOVE IS IN THE AIR Add On Dies to make some masks from Simon Says Stamp MASKING Paper.
One of the stitched rectangle dies POSTAGE STAMP Dies was just the ticket to make my window. You can watch the VIDEO to see exactly how I did this.
I'm a huge fan of Catherine Pooler Ink folks. Ink blending CP inks is my jam. For this card I used, MINT TO BE, AQUATINI and ALL THAT JAZZ. Keep you eyes peeled for when All That Jazz hits the CP Store. It's a must have!
Speaking of inks...there is an INK PAD in this release! Shhh. It's a secret. I'll give you a hint though...it's on my cards....
Okey dokey! Now for card number 2! I decided to do a variation of my spinner card. If the spinner card seems a little daunting, give this a try. No video for this one folks. It's easy peasy.
For this card, I used the LOVE IS IN THE AIR Stamp Set again, but I simply stamped it on to my panel. I just kind of eyeballed them. I knew I wanted 3 and I made sure to spread them out. Since I knew I would be doing some ink blending, I masked them off.
This is one of my favorite things to do when I make cards. I take a 4.25" x 5.5" Neenah SOLAR WHITE 80# Card Panel and I mask it off a rectangle with 3M POST-IT Labeling Tape.
I used the same cloud die from the LOVE IS IN THE AIR Add On Dies as well as Simon Says Stamp MASKING Paper.
Then I ink blended the sky with MINT TO BE, AQUATINI and ALL THAT JAZZ inks. Those lil cloud masks can be tricky to keep down, so keep that in mind folks.
I added loads of Nuvo AQUA Shimmer to my balloons and clouds and die cut some hearts from the BON VOYAGE ACCOUTREMENTS Add On Dies that I colored using CP Inks.
