A Bit of Kindness To Brighten Your Day - Tone on Tone Stamping

Hey folks!

I'm today to share some (more) quick and easy cards with you. These were so easy, I made 14 of them!

The Share Handmade Kindness Challenge this week is all about making and giving something to anyone who works in the community. I have a whole list of peeps, I would love to share with, but my Girls spoke up first! They wanted to share some handmade kindness this week so these are for them to give out to whomever they choose. I am so proud of my Squirrel's, I can't even stand it!

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

As many of you may know, when you purchase the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness Set and A Bit of Kindness Stamp, 25% of the proceeds go to the Kind Campaign to help end bullying. This makes my heart sing folks! For my cards today, I used a Stamp from the Acts of Kindness Set. One of my Girl's wants to give one of her Cards to someone at school who's had some problems with bully's lately. This is perfect.

These really were easy peeps. I used Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink, Schoolhouse Red, Orange Peel, Sunshine Yellow, Green Apple, Island Blue and Lavender Inks and Cardstock's. You can see the clickable links below. I simply Stamped the Sentiment in each color on it's matching cardstock in a repeating pattern.

When I had them all done, I trimmed each one down to get 2 cards out of each Panel.

Using Sentiments from the Simon Says Stamp Jumbo Stripes Stamp Set with Versafine Black Onyx Ink on Neenah White Cardstock, I heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.

I cut strips of Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock for each of the cards as well.

I wanted to add embellies to each of these, but my Girl's asked that I didn't. Something about wanting to make sure they were going to be gender appropriate and afraid I'd make them too fufu? I cannot wrap my crafty brain around this. I thought at least sequins would be a great finishing touch, but this was their gig so I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the word "Kindness" and called it a day.

That's it peeps! Easy Peasy. It's a rare thing for me to do anything, but color. It is great to be able to switch it up occasionally and use Inks and Colored Cardstocks. And in a rainbow? Yes please!

I've have loads of cards in the works, so I'm not certain what will be up next. In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed my cards today. Stop by and see me on Instagram and Facebook! I would love to see you there!

  3. These are so cool! Love the way you stamped on the diagonal, and how you combined the different stamp sets. I just might have to CASE this idea! (I did pin the green one for future inspiration.) :) ~ Andrea
