Hey folks!
So, I thought it would be fun to have someone else pick a Stamp Set for me. Didn't matter what it was, I would just buy it and make a card with it. I emailed Vanessa at Butterfly Reflections Ink (cause she fabulous and I want to support her business) and asked if she'd like to participate in my little scheme. She agreed, I said "Yay, pick one and I'll buy it from your shop!" Well. She couldn't decide either! How many Crafter's does it take to pick out one stamp set? More than two apparently! In the end my husband (the non-crafting, Electrician) picked it out. Sheesh. It was a fun exercise anyway!
If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.
The Stamp Set I used on my cards today is the Time To Say Thanks Set by Create A Smile. I had never used their stamps before so this was great. These cards were easy and I can't wait to get them out in the mail!
After I made masks using Inkadinkado Stamp Masking Paper, I stamped my Images on this Card with Momento Espresso Truffle Ink on Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock. Brighter colors work best, but since this is more of a Fall Themed Card, I wasn't too worried about my Copic choices being too muted on the Kraft Cardstock. You can can see the thumbnail link below for my color choices.
I Die Cut another piece of Cardstock with a Stitched Rectangle Die by Simon Says Stamp. Using my MISTI Stamping Tool, I stamped a Sentiment in Momento Espresso Truffle Ink, then again in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder.
Before I added the Panel to the Card Base, I Die Cut it using the Large Stitched Rectangle Die from the Bundle of Stitched Shapes by Simon Says Stamp.
To finish it off, I added Clear Wink of Stella to the "highlights" on the Leaves and Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Sequins.
I did the same process for this card, but I used Neenah White Cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Black Onyx Ink and heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder. My embellies are from Little Things by Lucy's Cards Muted Metallics Sequins Mix.
That's it! Easy peasy.
I really should have done another one and stamped the Images with a White Pigment Ink. I love amount of white space each image has. So much to color and I love it!
We are still in the first week of the Share Handmade Kindness Challenge! I can't wait to see what Jennifer McGuire has in store for us for next week.
Also, don't forget that 25% of the proceeds for the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness Stamp Set and the Bit of Kindness Stamp go to the Kind Campaign. It's a great cause and is so totally worth the support.
I have a few other cards in the works and haven't decided what will be up next...maybe a lil somethin from the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit?
In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed my cards today! Don't forget you can follow me on Instagram and on Facebook! I would love to see you there.
Until next time!
