Hey folks!
In today's video, I am No Line Coloring the Hero Arts Nasturtium Stamp Set. This is a great set to color in fairly quickly and you could definitely do several colors and make a set!
I love this Hero Arts NASTURTIUM Stamp Set because it's not too big and it's not too small. If Goldilocks was looking for a stamp set, this would be the one folks. Seriously though, this fits the bill for when you want to color, but you don't want to spend a lot of time doing it.
To get the no line look, I used Hero Arts SOFT GRANITE Ink. You could use any light colored ink you want and I typically use Inkon3 FADEOUT Ink, but Soft Granite is always a great alternative.
I chose a yellow that's pretty close to a real Nasturtium, but you could do lots of different colors. I was pretty close on the color of the leaves, but no so much on how I colored them. If you look at a reference photo of Nasturtium leaves they actually have white veins that run from the center out. What d'ya do?
Be sure to check out the VIDEO folks. I talk about how I do the ink splatters. I already had Distress Inks in BLACK SOOT and HICKORY SMOKE out from my card last week and after mixing the to to get a darker grey, they were perfect for this card as well. Plus they're one of my favorite "embellies"!
To finish off my card, I stamped a sentiment from the set with Hero Arts CHARCOAL Ink and added some Nuvo AQUA Shimmer to the highlights of the flowers.
Until next time.
