Hey folks!
It's time for a new A Blog Named Hero Challenge! This month's theme is Birthday Cards. In today's video, I'm going to show you how to no line color with coloring layering stamps. I'm using the Hero Arts Color Layering Brave Lion Stamp Set. This stamp set is super easy to no line color, but the skies the limit on which stamp set you could use!
One of my favorite coloring techniques is no line coloring and no line coloring with color layering stamps seven better. The great part about using them for no line coloring is you easily add the layers in each color and most of the detail and guess work is done for you. You're simply coloring over the top.
You can watch the video on how I made my cards HERE. You can also click on the thumbnail link below.
The Hero Arts Coloring Layering BRAVE LION Stamp Set was an add on for the June 2017 My Monthly Hero and it's perfect for this technique! This stamp set has simple layers and super easy to no line color.
Before I stamped my images, I trimmed down panel with one of the Hero Arts Infinity RECTANGLE Die. I needed it just big enough to fit my images with a little bit of white space. I talk about this more in the VIDEO.
I did you my MISTI Stamping Tool to make sure that my images stamped straight, but you could use a stamp block if you like.
I used Hero Arts SOFT VANILLA, SOFT BROWN and CUP O' JOE to stamp the lion and SOFT GREEN for his little tie. That lil tie slays me. I think it's so darling.
Be sure to watch the VIDEO to see how I color everything in folks. The BRAVE LION Stamp Set is so so easy.
After I was done coloring this guy in, I feel like her needed something more to finish him off. I didn't want to add embellies so I stamped a Hero Arts FOLDED CARD in Mandarin and stamped the TRIBAL STRIPES Bold Print Background Stamp with PUMPKIN PIE Ink.
Although I didn't add any embellies, I did add some Nuvo AQAUA Shimmer on his mane and a Sakura CLEAR Glaze Pen on his eyes and whiskers.
That's it!
Be sure to head over to A BLOG NAMED HERO to participate in the challenge folks. You will also want to see what the rest of the Team has to share! They are amazing!
