Window Cards - Clean & Simple + Lawn Fawn String of Lights

Hey folks!

In today's video I'm showing you how to make easy window cards. These clean and simple windows cards come together quickly with a couple of rectangle dies, a simple die set for your focal point and some ink blending. You could get these done in no time!

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Also. You can watch the video on how I made my cards HERE. You can also click on the thumbnail link below.

The whole idea behind these was to use up a bunch of my acetate scraps. I use Grafix CLEAR PLASTIC. It's my favorite for all sorts of projects. It has a good weight, without being too thick. I have tons of scraps and I thought making a window card or cards, would be a great way to whittle some of it down.

I talk more in the VIDEO about the different options to make your bulbs from the Lawn Fawn STRING OF LIGHTS DIE SET look spiffy, but I decided to go with ink blending with Lawn Fawn Inks and heat embossing with Lawn Fawn WHITE EMBOSSING POWDER.

If your interested in all of the inks I used, I have them in the thumbnail links below.

To get an idea on how big my window needed to be, I first chose which bulb die from the Lawn Fawn STRING OF LIGHTS DIE SET I wanted to use. Since this was going to be the focal point on my card, I went with the largest in the set. Then, I chose a die from the Lawn Fawn SMALL STITCHED RECTANGLE DIE SET that would work the best for the bulb.

I show how I cut the frames from Neenah SOLAR WHITE 80# CARDSTOCK in the VIDEO, so be sure to check that out. You could cut them out of colored cardstock to match the card bases, but since had my inks out from doing the ink blending on the bulbs, I decided to do direct to paper inking on the frames.

I used Lawn Fawn Cardstock for all of my card bases and I'm a huge fans of their colors! Seriously folks, I swoon. I have all of the colors listed down below in the thumbnail links if you are interested.

I find that SCOR TAPE works the best for adhering cardstock to acetate. There's loads of options out there, but this has been the tried and true method for me. Plus, I love that it lasts a long, long time.

There those craft supplies where no matter how much you use it just NEVER ends and then those craft supplies where you could give Ebenezer Scrooge a run for his money on thrift because you use the smallest amount humanly possible because you don't want to buy more.

So, I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn FROSTY FAIRY FRIENDS the window with StazOn COTTON WHITE INK using the MINI MISTI STAMPING TOOL and the snowflakes are from the same stamp set.

To keep these truly clean & simple, I used some twine (linked below) to finish off the the tops of the bulbs and no card is complete without at least fairy level glitter, so I used the Sakura STARDUST GLITTER Gelly Roll Pen and the Spectrum Noir CLEAR OVERLAY Pen on the frames and inside each of the snowflakes.

That's it! Easy peasy.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today! DISCOVER more projects on my Youtube Channel. Do be sure to subscribe if you haven't and also tap that notification bell so you don't miss any future videos. As always Thanks So Much for stopping by!
