Hero Arts My Monthly Hero February 2017

Hey folks!

I am stopping in today to share a few more cards with you all! If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen that I shared one of these a couple of weeks ago. If you don't follow me, well then you didn't see it, and you should follow me on Instagram.

If you're interested in any of the products I've used, I have links (some affiliate links) throughout and at the end of the post. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

I'm a day or two late using the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero February 2017 Kit folks. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their kits, but I still can't seem to find another 12 hours in the day. So...what d'ya do? Hero Arts Kits are LOADED with crafty goodness peeps and they sell out super fast! This is sold out as well, but it's never too late to sign up for future kits. Plus free shipping! Woot!

So for all of these cards, I decided to try something a lil bit different. Different for me anyway. This time to I used one of the dies that came in the kit. I know, I know I probably chose the smallest one out of all of them, but I almost NEVER use dies, so I'm stoked.

Anyway, I stamped my Girls on some Ranger- Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I wasn't sure where I was going with these coloring wise and this was handy. Then used the die and my Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine to cut them out.

For my first card, I colored her in with Copic's. If you're interested you can see my color choices below. I adore this sentiment and thought the rainbow umbrella would be perfect!

For this card, I colored her in with Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I gotta be honest, this is probably my least fave, but I'm committed to the cause of sharing all that I do, so her ya go folks.

On all 4 of my cards, I stamped the Raindrops from the Stamp Set on Neenah White Card Stock with Versamark Ink, then heat embossed it with Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder. I promise it pops in real life!

For my third and fourth cards I decided to finally do some watercoloring. So for both I used Tombow Dual Brush Pens and a Silver Black Velvet #4 Brush.

Before I added my Girls to their respective cards, I masked off an area on all of the cards with some Post-It Tape. Then using Hero Arts Inks in Indigo Bold Hybrid, Pool Mid-Tone Ink and Soft Sky Shadow Ink and a Ranger Ink Blending Tool, I carefully blended them on to the panel.

Last, but certainly not least, I used a Copic Multiliner and a T-Sqaure Ruler and added faux frames to all 4 panels. Using Copic's in C0, C3 and C5 I added some shading to the "frames."

I popped my Girls up on the panel using Scotch Foam Tape, added some Clear Wink of Stella to their umbrella's and called it a day.

That's it! Easy peasy.

As always, thanks so much for stopping in to see me today. I hope you enjoyed my cards!

Until next time!
