I wanted to share a few cards I made last month using my Noel Mignon "Hey Girl" kit, Noel Mignon "Love Life" kit and SVG Cuts files. Before I do, I also wanted to share with you the new Noel Mignon kit! It's called "Hello Darling." I haven't received mine yet, but as usual I can't wait to get my paws on it! In the meantime, I'll just keep looking at all of the snifty stuff in the picture...
Noel Mignon April 2015 "Hello Darling" Look at all of that crafty goodness waiting to happen! |
I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I don't usually make cards. For some reason, I just could not come up with a 3D project using SVG Cuts files and my NM "Love Life" kit. I felt like I spent most of my month playing Winnie the Pooh. Ya know, "think, think, think." I have no idea where the inspiration came from, but I finally decided to dive in to my kit and make some cards!
The first 3 I'm going to share I went back to the Noel Mignon "Hey Girl" kit from January. Since I don't scrapbook, I have no idea what to do with those groovy lil frames that come in the kits. I saw on Pinterest where someone used one to make a shaker card so I thought I'd try it myself. Sorry folks, I din't pin it so I can't share a link, but I'm sure you could find one easy enough if you like.
This was easy peasy. The frame does all of the work really. I used the Heidi Swapp September Skies Stamp Set that came in the kit for the sentiment and the background. It's hard to see in the pic, but I also used a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush on the lightbulb stamp in the background. When you look inside they're shimmery and groovy. |
For the card on the left, I used another stamp in the Heidi Swapp September Skies Stamp Set. I heat embossed it with Versamark and Ranger Embossing Powder in White. I cannot remember which SVG Cuts file the flower is from. I cut it out months ago and didn't bother to write down which one it was. All of SVG Cuts flowers are fabulous, so it's all good! I sprayed it with Heidi Swapp Color Shine Spray in Navy as well as letting it drip all over the background. For the card on the right, I used the butterfly_bottom.svg in the extras folder from the High Skies SVG kit. I shrunk the folding_heart.svg from the Small Box file in the Love Me Do SVG kit. The sentiment is the Sizzix Framelits Die Set with Stamps - Floral by Hero Arts. |
On the left, I used the Hearts from Hearts For Days Box Card file from the Hearts Aflame SVG kit. The silver glitter ribbon is from the Noel Mignon February "Love Life" kit. I used a sticker from the same NM kit and it is from Crate Paper Kiss Kiss Journaling and Title Stickers. For the card in the middle, I used the Flower in the extras folder from the Tiny Miracles SVG kit. The sentiment was stamped with a Heidi Swapp stamp from the Always set using Versamark and Ranger Embossing Powder in White. The card on the right has the Lace Element in the Large Window Gift Box file from the Santa's Surprises SVG kit. The sentiment is also from Crate Paper Kiss Kiss Journaling and Title Stickers. |
I had no idea where I was going with this when I started, but I really dig it. This is the Starburst from the Lightbulb with Starburst file from the Bicycle Built for Two SVG Collection. The gold foil sticker is from Crate Paper Kiss Kiss Journaling and Title Stickers. Handy dandy sheets of stickers those were! I inked the center of the Starburst with a Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad in Picked Raspberry using a Ranger Ink Blending Tool. |
These two don't have any SVG Cuts elements on them, but I wanted to share them anyway. I really love how they both turned out! They are both made using papers from the kits. The "paint" streaks on the left card are a stamp from Hero Arts in the Hero Arts Texture and Shape Woodblock Stamp Set. I used Ranger Distress Inks in Festive Berries, Picked Raspberries and Spun Sugar. For the Heart with Wings, I used the Inkadinkado Clock Wing Wood Stamp and fussy cut the wings so I could attach them to a heart I had cut from the Hearts For Days Box Card file from the Hearts Aflame SVG kit. I colored them using Ranger Distress Markers using Festive Berries, Picked Raspberries and Spun Sugar again. |
Thanks for visiting me! Until next time!
So pretty, Cynde! Love them!! :)
